Budget- budget planning is one of the most crucial steps in the wedding planning process. Almost every decision will depend on what you have to spend. Understanding the costs associated with wedding venues, DJs, catering, photographers, and other essential services in your area is vital. Typically, the further that you can move away from big cities the better the prices will ne. So, is it worth it to drive 20-30 minutes further to save thousands of dollars? This approach not only helps to maintain clarity in your vision but also prevents unnecessary stress and disappointment. A great option is to seek a wedding venue that is further from the city. Start Planning Early- Our affordable, countryside, outdoor wedding venue is a popular choice for couples, and it often books quickly, especially during the peak wedding season. Thats why we encourage you to start your planning as early as possible!
Dates fill up quickly, and we wouldn’t want you to miss the opportunity to say "I do" in your idyllic setting. By starting your planning early, you can secure your special day with a deposit and ensure that every detail is just as you envision it.
Also, by beginning your search for the wedding venue, caterers, DJs, and more well in advance often up to two years before your big day you can secure your dream location and set the stage for magical moments.
Get Organized- There are lots of saying about people that HAD good intensions, and they aren’t positive for a reason. Get a notebook or binder to keep track of everything and everyone, that’s relevant throughout this journey. Keep the papers organized based upon category for reason retrieval.
Stay Organized- Staying organized is key to creating a stress-free experience! By carefully coordinating various aspects of your wedding, you can focus on what truly matters: celebrating your love surrounded by family and friends in the enchanting atmosphere of Prosperity Mansion and Farm.

Don’t Procrastinate- Many couples know that they are by nature prostrators. Others simply do not realize how long it will take to achieve certain things. And then there is wait so long that the wedding venues are all booked up except on off dates.
Select a Wedding Venue First- You will need to know where and when you are getting married before you can send out save the date, get invitations, hire other vendors, know what type of gown to select, the flowers that will be in season and the list goes on. So, knowing where and when you will be getting married is the number 1 priority.
When selecting a wedding venue consider the following:
A) Price- What is your overall budget? As you google various types of vendors and wedding venues do move forward with one that not within your budget.
B) What do they charge extra for? Ask them bluntly what is NOT included in the price that you would need to pay extra for.
C) Do they require that you hire a Day of Coordinator or wedding planner? - If so, add an extra $1,200 to $3,000 to the cost of the wedding venue. Most wedding venue require that you must hire one if you want to get married at their venue.
D) May you select your own vendors? Being able to select your own vendors is a great cost savings. This allows you to research who is out there
E) Can you bring your own liquor?

The Groom / Partner - How involved do they want to be? Encourage your partner to have at least one task that they will handle 100%. If you are concerned, give them dates to complete different phases of the task. And have them send you what they have accomplished ensuring their planning journey is on track. Don't force them, if it's something that they simply can't be trusted to do.
Helpers- Are there friends or relatives that have offered to help AND that you absolutely TRUST! The word TRUST is paramount. The last thing that you want is an unreliable person working on any area of your wedding and dropping the ball or doing it wrong.
Be specific- When allocating a task make sure that you provide IN WRITING exactually what you want and when it needs to be completed. Having instructions in writing will allow you to document what you requested as well as allow the person to look back and review details and completion date.
Showers- Typically it's the MoH or the mom that will schedule a bridal shower. Many times, they might want it to be a surprise. Thats great, but feel free to tell them what you may want. However, be careful not to overwhelm them and take their pleasure away because you micro-managed the shower. Go ahead and register so that it is done and will not ruin the surprise.
Honeymoon- This is an interesting topic. Many couples have opted to wait till their first anniversary or even still later, to actually go on their honeymoon. Yes, there are still couples that take off after they tie the knot and are on the way to the honeymoon. But due to finances or other issues, some couples are deciding to wait, so that they have the honeymoon of their dreams.
Off-Peak Seasons- There is a reason why there is a term called "off peak" season. Thats because wedding venues know that no one wants those months for many reasons.
