CONSIDER THE WEDDING VENUES “PREFERRED VENDORS” LIST?

By Prosperity Mansion & Farm in Frederick Maryland

You’re engaged!! But now what? Well, now it is time to begin planning the big day! But where do you begin? Selecting a date and finding the wedding venue should be first on your list to secure. Without securing a date and location, no other venders can tell you if they are available on your wedding day or if they travel to that city.

Take the time to discuss the right date for your wedding and research different venues. Consider the venue’s availability, affordability, location, ambience, and style. When you have narrowed down your top 3-4 contenders, schedule tours to visit these venues. Prosperity Mansion & Farm is one of the most affordable, outdoor / garden, wedding venues in Frederick MD as well of throughout the state.

So, once you have found and secured a wedding venue that spoke to you on a tour, what is the next step? Well among the parties and announcements you will need to start to secure your vendors, including but not limited to:

·         Caterer

·         D.J

·         Photographer

·         Florist

·         Maybe a “Day or Coordinator”?

·         Bartender

It may seem overwhelming to choose from so many vendors! Friends and family may offer suggestions. The internet may provide reviews. But who can you trust? We at Prosperity Mansion & Farm recommend you ask the wedding venue that you have chosen. The wedding venue is, in our opinion, the best source. They host weddings all the time and can tell you who has provided excellent service and who has not.  We can attest that Frederick County; Maryland has some of the very best wedding vendors in the state.

At Prosperity Mansion & Farm, we understand the importance of every detail in creating a truly unforgettable wedding experience. One key element that contributes significantly to this goal is the selection of vendors who will play a crucial role in your special day. While it is not be mandatory, we highly recommend that couples opt for vendors from our preferred list.

Keep in mind that the wedding venues may even present to you either an APPROVED/REQUIRED vendors list or a PREFERRED vendors list. And let me say that there is a big difference between these two types of lists. Make sure that you know if you may bring in your own vendors before you sign if that is important to you.

APPROVED/REQUIRED vendors- This type of list is defined in the dictionary as giving approval or permission. This is typically found at all-inclusive wedding venues; however, some DIY wedding venues have gone in that direction too. These types of venues REQUIRE that you select vendors only from the list they provide. You must choose from this list; you will not be allowed to choose vendors outside of this list. These venues tend to be more expensive because they may attach a fee on top of what the vendor typically charges a client.

PREFERRED vendors- The definition of preferred is to like one thing or person better than another. Wedding venues that are not all-inclusive typically use this type of list. Basically, this means that they have vendors that they like and are dependable, however you are not required to use them. These vendors are many times, less expensive because the wedding venue typically doesn’t attach any extra fees for using their vendors. And, depending on the category, you may even have friends or family that can provide these services, which can save you even more in your budget!

All wedding venues that we are aware of have either an APPROVED / REQUIRED or a PREFERRED vendors list from which you CAN OR MUST choose. The reason this is beneficial to you is, first and foremost, the venue knows the vendors and the vendors know the venue. Vendors know the rules, where to set up, where things are located, what they need to bring to do their job; the benefits go on and on.  Secondly, the events of the day run more efficiently by virtue of an established relationship between the vendor and venue. Their past experience working together allows for seamless transitions throughout your wedding day.

Even though we are a semi-DIY wedding venue, we spend a great deal of time and money preparing the place for each and every event. Having your wedding day run efficiently is essential to Prosperity Mansion & Farm. Our goal is to have a couple leave at the end of their event not only married, but absolutely pleased with their experience with us.

It's important to note that when we refer vendors, we prioritize good service and professional behavior above all else. We never add fees on top of what vendors charge, nor do we accept any portion of their fees and never have. Your trust in our recommendations is our priority, knowing that our referrals are based on quality and suitability for your dream wedding. At Prosperity Mansion & Farm, your satisfaction and happiness are at the heart of everything we do.

Our preferred vendors have been carefully chosen based on their proven track record of reliability, professionalism, and exceptional service. We have handpicked these vendors because we trust that they will arrive on time, fully prepared, and execute their duties with the utmost care and dedication. Their commitment to excellence ensures that they not only meet but exceed expectations, going the extra mile to make your day truly special. Rest assured, our selected vendors are known for their exemplary conduct, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for you and your guests.

While we occasionally introduce a new vendor to our list, we closely monitor their performance to ensure they uphold our high standards of professionalism. Should any vendor fall short of our expectations, we will not hesitate to replace them to maintain the quality of service that our couples deserve. You are always first and foremost.
